An Irresistable Offer!!! (BusyGuy)
posted Sun November 2nd @ 3:42 PM

I've got a GREAT offer for you!

If you workout an average of at least 3 times a week for the next year, I'll give you $20,000.

So what do you think?

Too good to be true?

Like most things that sound too good to be true, it is.

I'm not going to pay you to improve your health and your appearance.

But I am going to make my point.

Almost anyone can exercise 3 times a week (especially if they're using BusyGuy Workouts).

And I bet for 20,000 big ones, you would probably stick to a 3x/week workout regimen.

But without such an incentive, why aren't you doing what you KNOW you should be doing?

Of course you have the best of intentions, but then you end up missing the next few weeks, because you're super busy at work, are "too busy" at home with the kids, got sick, you're moving to a new house,  you're traveling too much for work, the holidays are coming or the weather was
terrible.

Next thing you know, you've actually gained weight.

You know have to workout SIX times a week to make that 20k.

What was once an easy step to a goal, starts to become an overwhelming task.

How can you stop this vicious cycle before it begins?

Set goals. Before you start, ask yourself "Why am I doing this?" Write it down.

Take it even a step further. Tape a picture or a graphic on your mirror of what you will look like or what you hope to accomplish when your goal is achieved. In this case I might search for a picture on the internet of a lean, muscular man with defined abdominals. I would then tape that picture on my mirror. I would also use this picture as my computer's desktop background.

In fact, this is exactly what I did to reach my own goals. It works.

The next thing I did was devise a plan.

I created a workout plan and decided on what I was and wasn't going to eat.

I decided which days I was going to workout, which days I was going to take off and I stuck to it.

When I felt like not following my plan, I would look at my "goal picture" and reread my plan.

This actually turned into my BusyGuy/BusyGal Workout for Fat Loss System.

A few small steps everyday adds up to significant accomplishments.

People ask me all the time, "How did you lose the weight?"

My answer is simple, "I had a goal, I created a plan to reach it and I took a little bit of action each day to get there".

If I could get there, YOU can get there. And you WILL.

But you MUST start today.  Because everyday you wait makes the accomplishment just that tougher to achieve. Read More »

Yet ANOTHER Fad Diet! (BusyGuy)
posted Wed October 22nd @ 7:52 AM

I've been an avid reader of Mens Health for years and although I don't always agree with everything that is written, it is always entertaining.

So I had to shake my head in amazement and then laugh when I read about the "banana diet" has become so big in Japan that imports by Dole to Japan have increased 25% in the last four months!

So what is this "banana diet"? Get this: as MANY bananas as you want for breakfast, eating ANYTHING you want for lunch and dinner (no desserts), a 3PM snack and you must be in bed before midnight.

How ridiculous! Supposedly this diet is "overtaking" the country! Imagine eating ANYTHING you want for lunch and dinner and calling it a "diet"? It's bad enough that their is no consideration for the number of calories being eaten (not that I endorse or am a big fan of calorie counting in general), but just as bad is the fact that there is no consideration for WHAT is being consumed.

There's also no explanation on why they chose bananas. In comparison to other fruits, bananas have more calories and more sugar than most.

The bottom line is that this yet another fad diet (a ridiculous one at that) that just needs to be ignored. I've said it a million times before and it's what I teach in my ebook, adopting a healthy outlook and forming good nutritional habits needs to be a lifestyle, not a "diet". Make it a part of who you are and what you do. Forget about the latest Jenny Craig, Atkins, South Beach or "banana diet". Educate yourself, make the right choices, find people to support you and you'll never have to consider another fad diet again.

"Banana diet", HA! Read More »
